Leon Osman has said on Premier League Productions that Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold should have been sent off against Everton at Anfield.
Liverpool suffered a 2-0 defeat to Everton at home in the Merseyside derby on Saturday evening.
The Toffees went 1-0 up after just three minutes and doubled the advantage in the 83rd minute from the penalty spot.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, 22, was adjudged to have committed a foul on Dominic Calvert-Lewin inside the box in the 81st minute.
Former Everton midfielder Osman, who now works as a pundit for Premier League Productions, believes that the England international should have been sent off for his challenge on Calvert-Lewin.
When told that former Liverpool left-back Jim Beglin said that it was not a penalty, Osman said on Premier League Productions: “I complete disagree. I even think it was a red card as well that was maybe overlooked.”
