Tony Cascarino has said on talkSPORT that Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin is “not a good right-back”.
The former Chelsea striker believes that the right-back position is a problem for Arsenal.
Cascarino, who also played for Aston Villa and Celtic among other clubs and now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, has suggested that the Gunners need to sign a right-back who will push Bellerin.
Cascarino said on talkSPORT: “Their right-back position is a problem.
“Hector Bellerin is not a good right-back for me. He’s quick, he’s pleasing on the eye. I don’t think he’s a great defender, I never have done.
“But who’s putting pressure on him? [Ainsley] Maitland-Niles has become a sort of wing-back, but he’s not going to do it.
“On the other side, they’re fine. [Bukayo] Saka can play left-back, [Kieran] Tierney can play left-back, no problem.”

Stats
Bellerin has had injury problems of late, and the Spaniard has not been at his best for a while.
According to Whoscored, the 25-year-old has made nine starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has played thrice in the Europa League for Arsenal so far this season.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the Spaniard provided five assists in 19 league games, and scored one goal and provided two assists in eight Europa League matches, according to WhoScored.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has given his take on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation at Arsenal.
The Gabon international striker is out of contract at the Gunners at the end of next season, and no new deal has been agreed yet.
Shearer wrote in The Sun: “The forward is going to be looking at the situation and wondering whether Arsenal can compete with the best over the next couple of years.
“Well, on the evidence we have seen, then absolutely not. You also know that he and his agent will be saying to the club — if you’re so desperate for me to stay then you have to make me the highest earner.
“But there is no way that in this current climate Arsenal are going to give him the reported £350,000 a week Mesut Ozil is on.”
