Jamie O’Hara has told TalkSPORT that Antonio Conte would seriously consider joining Manchester United – this month. The Tottenham manager branded himself ‘annoyed’ as Spurs looked bereft of ideas against Chelsea.
Conte, 52, joined Tottenham earlier in the season and the belief was that, given the coup of bringing in Conte, that money would be spent. But halfway through the window, and Spurs are yet to make a signing.
The ex-Inter and Chelsea gaffer joined Spurs after turning them down in the summer – with Manchester United also linked with a move. Conte is beginning to realise just how much of a rebuilding job is needed at Spurs.
Ex-Spurs midfielder O’Hara sent a warning to Daniel Levy – after the 1-0 defeat on Wednesday. He says that if money is not spent, then Conte will walk – and thinks that if Manchester United came calling, he would join.
“He looks defeated. He’s lost a bit of passion. Levy, if he doesn’t bring in some top-quality players, Antonio Conte will walk. If Manchester United phoned him tomorrow, said ‘we want you’, he’d consider it,” O’Hara said.

Conte has only penned a contract at Spurs until the summer of 2023, so his long-term future is hardly a nailed-on subject. But the fact of the matter is, is that Conte is a fighter – and is at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
A move to Manchester United is hardly going to change his fortunes. Similarly to Tottenham, Manchester United are struggling. While they have the money, unlike Spurs, there is a bad atmosphere at Old Trafford.
There is no chance Conte leaves soon, but if there are no signings made this month – the summer does not go his way, then £250,000-a-week (Mail) Conte might look at it.
