Tottenham have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain ace Adrien Rabiot.

Pundit Shaka Hislop has told ESPN that he thinks Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot is exactly the type of player Mauricio Pochettino wants at Tottenham.
Earlier this week, The Mirror reported that Tottenham are set to renew their interest in signing PSG midfielder Rabiot having previously monitored the Frenchman.
Rabiot, 21, has become a first-team player for PSG having joined the club in 2010, with the former Manchester City youngster managing to stake his claim for first-team football despite the club’s huge spending in recent years.
The midfielder – who has one cap for France to his name – has racked up nearly 150 appearances for PSG, but has suggested that he could leave the club this summer in order to become a key player elsewhere.
Tottenham are one of the main clubs being linked with Rabiot, having had a loan bid for him rejected two years ago – and he would fit well into what Spurs are currently doing.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino not only places great emphasis on young players, but in his 3-4-2-1 system, Rabiot could offer strong competition for Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele and Harry Winks, with Eric Dier more likely to stay at centre back.

Now, pundit and former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has told ESPN that he thinks Rabiot is the type of player Pochettino is looking for at White Hart Lane, highlighting his composure on the ball and passing range as key attributes.
Hislop added that Rabiot’s recent Champions League performance against Barcelona was ‘outstanding’ – words that would excite Spurs fans should a summer deal be agreed.
“Rabiot seem to be the type of player that Mauricio Pochettino wants,” said Hislop. “He’s young at 21, but I thought his performance against Barcelona was outstanding, and probably not mentioned as much as some of the other PSG players. He’s very cool, very calm and composed, he can control and dictate a game and also has a good passing range – [Spurs rumours] make a lot of sense,” he added.
