Tottenham Hotspur have been backed to make a move for Arne Slot if Feyenoord advance further in the Europa League.
Feyenoord boss Slot has become one of the most popular names in the media when it comes to the Tottenham job.
The Dutch press are talking about Slot to Spurs pretty much every day now.
Pundit and former Feyenoord star Karim El Ahmadi – once of Aston Villa – has now offered his take.
As quoted by Voetbal International over in the Netherlands, El Ahmadi believes ‘Tottenham could’ make a move for Slot.
El Ahmadi feels that the offers could come if Slot guides Feyenoord into the semi-finals or final of the Europa League.
Feyenoord are into the quarter-finals and take on Jose Mourinho’s Roma – who beat them in the Europa Conference League final last season.
El Ahmadi thinks offers won’t be from the ‘absolute top’ of European football but Tottenham are much more likely to make a move.
“Imagine that he goes to the semi-finals or the final of the Europa League, then the European club will also come,” said El Ahmadi. “Not the absolute top, but Tottenham could. I believe in that,” he added.

Tottenham do appear to be interested in Arne Slot
The notion of Slot to Spurs isn’t just something cooked up by the Dutch media.
The Independent suggested just last week that Tottenham have been using ‘back channels’ to find out if Slot would be interested in a move to North London.
That came after The Times claimed in March that Slot is one name on the Tottenham’s wish list to replace Antonio Conte.
Slot currently sits top of the Eredivisie table and is closing in on the title with just a handful of games to go.
Add in the Europa League run and Slot is working wonders at Feyenoord even after losing star players Tyrell Malacia, Marcos Senesi, Luis Sinisterra and Fredrik Aursnes last summer.
Feyenoord are unbeaten in league action since September and have been just sensational under Slot’s very attacking approach.
Tottenham are seemingly having a close look at Slot and will be fascinated to see him against Mourinho in the Europa League.
