Tottenham Hotspur defender had a game to forget. Or did he?

Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier gave away a penalty against Liverpool which decided the game at Anfield.
The right-back felled Sadio Mane inside the box, and Mohamed Salah made no mistake from the penalty spot.
It capped a hapless start to the season for Aurier, who was woeful in Tottenham’s 7-2 loss against Bayern Munich earlier this month.
But despite the error, former Premier League midfielder Don Hutchison urged Tottenham fans to go easy on the Ivory Coast international.
Hutchison said that he felt Aurier had a good overall game in the 2-1 loss at Anfield.
The frustrating thing for Aurier is that he can easily undo his good work with one lapse of concentration.
When playing against a team as talented as Liverpool, all it takes is one error.
Hutchison’s view was not shared by Gary Lineker, who criticised Aurier’s decision making.
Aurier is certainly testing the patience of Tottenham fans, but his error shouldn’t take away from how well the whole team played at Anfield.
Spurs were one penalty away from coming away with a share of the points. As it is, they occupy a lowly 11th position.
