Craig Burley says if he had a choice then he would pick Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham over his England teammate and Arsenal star Bukayo Saka ‘for the next ten years’.
Both Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka are going to run England’s ship for the next ten years, with the 19 and 21-year-olds, respectively, cooking in their respective leagues.
Arsenal are sitting at the top of the Premier League table, with Saka the first player this season to hit double figures in both goals and assists.

Over in Germany, Dortmund are top of their tree, with Bellingham leading the charge from the middle of the park, as they aim to end Bayern Munich’s decade of dominance.
Either way, England are blessed to have such talented stars on their books, with Liverpool keen on bringing the £130 million star to the Premier League stage in the summer as reported by The Athletic in March 2023.
Nonetheless, when former Chelsea midfielder Burley was asked to pick between the above duo, he just about pushed for Bellingham’s name, as he told ESPN.
“He (Bellingham) is still learning,” said Burley. “When he learns to time his runs into the box, that’s when you will see the quota of goals. It’s all about the timing. He has got the physique. He’s got the energy. He’s got the engine.
“When he fine-tunes the timing of those runs, then he will be 20 goals a season.
On Saka or Bellingham: “Why would I pick between them when I can enjoy both of them?! responded Burley. “I love both of them, but if you said I can only have one of them, for the next ten years. I hate this, but it’s what we do here and Messi and Ronaldo aren’t around anymore, just by a smidge I would take Jude Bellingham.”

BELLINGHAM AND SAKA – THE NEXT TEN YEARS
It’s crazy to think that in ten years, Bellingham still won’t even be 30 and he could argue that his best days, even then, could still be ahead of him.
Saka will be 31 by then and, from his perspective, he will be hoping that trophies will be in his cabinet, he would have cemented his Arsenal legacy and helped England end their trophy drought.
If England are to get over that trophy line, then it’s players like Saka and Bellingham that will take them there.
