Glenn Murray has said on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison did not play well against David Moyes’s West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Tottenham got the better of West Ham in the London derby this evening.

Richarlison started the match for Antonio Conte’s side.

The Brazil international forward was taken off midway through the second half.

Former Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace striker Murray was following the match for BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

And he was not impressed with Richarlison.

Murray said: “A disappointing afternoon is rounded off by Richarlison as he is dragged off before the 70th minute for the introduction of Son.

“When he gets home and looks in the mirror he will be disappointed, no lack of effort but it just didn’t happen for him this afternoon.”

Disappointing display

In our view, Richarlison did not have a good game for Tottenham Hotspur against West Ham United.

The 25-year-old Brazil international forward does not often start for Spurs, and against the Hammers, he did nothing special that will change head coach Antonio Conte’s mind about.

We do not expect the former Everton star to start regularly for Tottenham if he plays the way he did against the Hammers.

The forward did try, but it just did not happen for him.

Richarlison did not have that cutting edge.

According to WhoScored, the forward took two shots and both were on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, won one header, took 26 touches, made three tackles, and put in one cross.
