Danny Murphy believes that Tottenham Hotspur star Mousa Dembele is better than Nemanja Matic, Santi Cazorla, Ander Herrera, Yaya Toure and Ilkay Gundogan.

Danny Murphy has suggested in The London Evening Standard that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele is good enough to play in the first team for any club in the Premier League.
Former Tottenham midfielder Murphy played with Dembele at London club Fulham from 2010 until 2012.
The BBC pundit believes that the Belgium international is better than Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla, Ander Herrera of Manchester United and Manchester City duo Yaya Toure and Ilkay Gundogan.
“If you want to understand how important Mousa Dembele is to Tottenham, consider this: is there a team in England who wouldn’t include him in their first-choice starting XI?” Murphy wrote in The London Evening Standard.
“He would play ahead of Nemanja Matic for Chelsea. You’d have him over any of Arsenal’s midfielders, possibly alongside Santi Cazorla if everyone was fit.
“I’d take him over Ander Herrera at Manchester United, above Yaya Toure or Ilkay Gundogan at Manchester City. He is better than any of Liverpool’s midfield three.”
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 56 points from 27 matches.
Spurs are 10 points behind leaders and London rivals Chelsea, and appear to be out of the running for the league title.
Dembele is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and has been playing well for Tottenham this season.
The 29-year-old has featured in 19 league matches for Tottenham so far this season, creating 15 chances in the process.
The former AZ star has progressed and developed his game at Tottenham, and the White Hart Lane faithful will hope that he maintains his current level for many years to come.
