Darren Ambrose has said on talkSPORT (6:37pm, July 3, 2022) that Chelsea forward Timo Werner would be a “sensational” signing for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
However, the former Newcastle United and Crystal Palace midfielder does not think that a transfer of Werner from Chelsea to Liverpool will happen.
The talkSPORT pundit made the comments about the £270,000-a-week (The Sun) Germany international forward when asked if he thinks that Liverpool could sign Werner from Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer.
The Red wanted to secure the services of the 26-year-old back in the summer of 2020, but he moved to Chelsea from RB Leipzig instead, as reported by Sky Sports at the time.

Ambrose said about Werner and Liverpool on talkSPORT (6:37pm, July 3, 2022): “I can see he plays a high press, he is good at that, but I just can’t see him fitting in with what they are bringing in.
“And they have got better (players). So he is going to go there as fourth and fifth in line. I can’t see it working.
“It would be a sensational story if that happened, but no. If I am Chelsea, I am probably keeping him.”
