Pundit Michael Bridges has said that Man City superstar Jack Grealish has been better than Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez so far.
Grealish, since making a record-breaking move to City in 2021 has been underwhelming to say the least, with Graeme Souness going as far as to claim that he is a good but not a great player on talkSPORT.
However, the same can be said for Nunez, who has looked completely lost in a Liverpool shirt.
While the Uruguayan is often lauded for the timing of his runs and his hard graft, his finishing has been woeful at Anfield.
So far, no player in the 2022/2023 Premier League season has missed more big chances than Darwin Nunez (15), as per the official website.
However, the £300,000-a-week ace himself has struggled at Man City, scoring a mere 4 league goals in total up until now.
Ultimately, both Nunez and Grealish have looked shadows of their former selves, setting the world alight at Benfica and Aston Villa respectively.
And now a famous pundit has decided which player is better out of the two.
Pundit Michael Bridges says Jack Grealish has been better than Darwin Nunez

Pundit Michael Bridges has said that Man City attacker Jack Grealish has been better than Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez so far.
“The best return and he hasn’t actually been amazing has got to be [Jack] Grealish because he has lifted the Premier League title.”
“He’s a player I really admire. He has had to adapt to a totally new philosophy under Pep [Guardiola].”
“That’s what I do expect because at Aston Villa, he was exciting, he was everywhere.”
“I think he has learned the defensive roles and what it means to be a team player rather than just being that standout man.”
“Sometimes, you see him high and wide and I don’t like when I see him there. I like it when he drifts inside”, the pundit said on Optus Sport’s GegenPod podcast.
On Darwin Nunez, Bridges said, “With Nunez, I’m still going to back him because he is getting a lot of opportunities, but I got to say the right foot shot the other night at Brentford when he dragged it across goal was so frustrating.”
“He’s got the pace, he makes the dynamic runs, he’s a hard worker but I’m questioning his finishing ability on that right side.”
“I think once he gets one, he’s going to be a handful.”
“But I’m taking Jack Grealish.”
Overall, one can understand the rationale put forth by the pundit, however, it is key to remember that Jack Grealish has spent far longer at Man City than Darwin Nunez has at Liverpool.
