Speaking on the US TV station ESPN, Don Hutchinson has been chatting about Liverpool’s chances of winning the Champions League after the signing of Luis Diaz.
Hutchinson and the rest of the ESPN panel were answering fan questions from Twitter, and they were asked to attach a percentage probability to the Reds’ hopes of winning the Champions League.
As you can imagine, Hutchinson viewed Liverpool as one of the top contenders for the trophy, and he says that the Reds have a 30 per cent chance of winning the competition.
What’s been said?
Hutchinson gave his view on Liverpool’s European hopes.
“I think they’ll beat Inter. A percentage chance? I think it’s quite strong. I think it would be around 30%,” Hutchinson said.
The pundit also gave Manchester City and Bayern Munich a 30% chance, while naming Real Madrid as the only other contender with a 10% chance.
“I’ve done Liverpool, City and Bayern 30, Real Madrid have 10, the rest of them have no chance.”

Among the favourites
Liverpool are certainly among the favourites to win this competition.
The Reds have been one of the best teams in Europe for years at this point, and almost everybody in this squad already has a Champions League winners’ medal.
On their day, the Reds are unstoppable, and on those famous European nights at Anfield, it’s hard to see any side beating the Merseyside club.
Don’t be surprised if the Reds pick up their seventh title this year.
