Tony Cascarino has told talkSPORT that Hugo Lloris does not have a future at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Chelsea star, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, made the comments while discussing Lloris’s criticism of his teammates following Tottenham’s defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
As quoted on talkSPORT, the Tottenham goalkeeper and captain was very critical of his teammates, as the North London club lost the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 tie 3-0 to go out 3-2 on aggregate.
Cascarino said on talkSPORT: “As much as fans might say we needed Lloris to say something like that, he has not played well. He is part of the problem. I think that needs addressing in itself. For me, I can’t see him having a future at Spurs.”
Harsh?
Lloris’s comments were harsh but true, and his Tottenham teammates and head coach Jose Mourinho will know that.
Even if Lloris had not said what he did, the Spurs players will have known just how badly they performed. It was clear for everyone to see.

What the Frenchman did was take responsibility on behalf of the players. While Spurs head coach Mourinho will be criticised for the shock result, the players have to be blamed as well.
All is not over for Spurs. Tottenham can still finish in the Premier League top four and are in the EFL Cup final.
