Leeds United are hunting for a new creative midfield player – and it seems that they are closing in on a big new signing.
Marcelo Bielsa is seeking a young, progressive midfielder who can fill in for Pablo Hernandez when needed, and eventually become the Spaniard’s heir.
Bayern Munich talent Michael Cuisance has been touted as a top target over the last week, and Leeds now appear to be on the verge of striking a deal.
The Guardian claim that Cuisance has agreed terms on a five-year deal at Elland Road, with a €20million (£18million) fee set to be agreed.
Cuisance, 21, showed real promise with Borussia Monchengladbach before joining Bayern in 2019, where he has only made 11 first-team appearances.
Still, the Frenchman is a talented ball-player with a superb left foot, and he certainly has a fan in former West Ham United midfielder Don Hutchison.

Hutchison suggested that he recommended Cuisance to the Hammers back in 2017, ‘Yet another player I told West Ham about 3 years ago when he was at Gladbach’.
Hutchison has vocally praised Cuisance in the past, claiming he has a ‘wand of a left foot’ and ‘fantastic vision’, which will all encourage Leeds fans about their potential signing.
The Scot would clearly rather be seeing Cuisance in claret and blue, but he looks set for Leeds – and will end up facing the Hammers this season as a result.
