Owen Hargreaves claims that Diogo Jota has shocked everyone with the impact that he has made at Liverpool, as per his comments on the Premier League Analysis Show, which was broadcast by Premier League productions.
Jota was brought to Liverpool from Wolves this summer and he has made an immediate impact at Anfield.
Jota has already forced his way into Liverpool’s starting line-up, with Jurgen Klopp adapting his system at the weekend.
The Reds lined-up with four attackers rather than their usual three to accommodate Jota.
And Hargreaves feels that everyone has been surprised by just how quickly the summer signing has settled at Anfield.
“The one thing that made him tweak it was the form of Diogo Jota,” the pundit said.
“Everybody knows that he is a top player, but I don’t think anybody anticipated him coming in and having the impact that he has.
“It’s been that significant that Klopp has thought this may be the perfect opportunity to play the front four, with Van Dijk out.”
Klopp has actually denied that he shocked by Jota, as he insists he always felt that Portuguese international was a brilliant player.
However, he must be delighted with how well the transfer has worked out.
Jota already has seven goals for himself in a Liverpool shirt and he has made the Reds look an even more dangerous attacking force.
