Sheffield Wednesday have been something of a bogey team for Norwich this century.

If there is one fixture Sheffield Wednesday would want to see more than any after three straight defeats, it is Norwich City (H).
Not since December 2001 have Norwich beaten Wednesday at Hillsborough.
It is a run which spans eight matches, with the previous two of those ending in 5-1 defeats for City.
On current form, however, a Norwich win could well be on the cards.
The Canaries have won seven of their last nine Championship fixtures, in doing so leapfrogging Sheffield Wednesday into a play-off position.
The Owls’ recent run has coincided with the absence of important attacking players, Fernando Forestieri and Marco Matias, neither of whom will return until after November’s international break.
And, as well as the inexplicably exiled Keiren Westwood and Sam Hutchinson, the Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay is also without long-term injury victims Gary Hooper, Kieran Lee, Sam Winnall and Joost van Aken for Norwich’s visit.

Daniel Pudil could, however, return to the starting line-up having had his face split open at QPR last week, with Matt Penney also pushing for a start after agreeing a new contract on Thursday.
