The France international has been linked in recent weeks with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.
Recent reports by Talksport have suggested that Griezmann will snub an offer from the Red Devils if they fail to qualify for the Champion’s League.
With Liverpool in a strong position to seal Champion’s League qualification, could the Atletico Madrid forward be tempted into joining United’s long standing rivals?
There has been regular speculation this season regarding Liverpool’s Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
He has been linked with Barcelona on a number of occasions, and although Klopp and fans alike would not want to see their star player go, it could provide funds to sign a more than worthy replacement.
Manchester United’s bid for Griezmann was thought to be around £85million, so Klopp would have to encourage the board to splash a substantial sum to sign the highly rated forward.
However, with the potential income to be gained from the sale of Brazilian playmaker Coutinho to the Catalan giants, signing Griezmann could be well within the realms of possibility.
The addition of such a star player could be the statement of intent Jurgen Klopp needs to make Liverpool serious title contenders next season and a force to be reckoned with.
