AC Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli believes Gianluigi Donnarumma is happy to stay at the club despite Premier League interest.

Gianluigi Donnarumma looks likely to commit to a new contract at AC Milan, amid interest from Premier League clubs.
The 18-year-old has been Milan’s undisputed number one this season, making 33 league appearances and keeping 13 clean sheets.

However, AC Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli believes Donnarumma is happy to remain at the Italian side, reports Talksport.
“We have had talks over the past week with his agents, which is normal,” Mirabelli said.
“We also had talks with Gigio and we asked him if he wanted to stay at Milan.
“He responded in an affirmative matter that he is happy here and he wants to keep playing for Milan.”
The Italian shot stopper has caught the eye of a number of clubs for his performances this season, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.
He was promoted from the Milan U19’s team in the summer of 2015, where he made 30 appearances after playing second fiddle for the early part of last season to Spanish keeper Diego Lopez.
With 35-year-old Lopez leaving on loan to find first team football at La Liga side Espanyol at the start of the 2016/17 campaign, Donnarumma was left unopposed for first-choice at Milan.
Whether the teenage rising star commits to a new contract or not, he is sure to retain the attention of Europe’s top clubs and demand a sizeable transfer fee when he does eventually depart.
