PSV Eindhoven sensation Hirving Lozano has told ESPN that he isn’t thinking about a move to reunite with Marcel Brands at Everton.

Brands, 56, joined PSV from AZ Alkmaar in 2011, serving as their director of football for seven years, winning three Eredivisie titles in the process.

The Dutchman has now left the club in order to join Everton, and he may well be looking to bring some PSV stars with him to Goodison Park.

Back in April, the Sunday People (April 22nd, page 64)reported that Brands wanted to snap up PSV winger Hirving Lozano, in a deal which would no doubt excite Everton fans.

The 21-year-old winger only joined PSV from Pachuca in his native Mexico last summer, but enjoyed a stunning season in the Netherlands, hitting 19 goals in all competitions as well as eight assists.

Primed to star for Mexico at this summer’s World Cup, Lozano is bound to be in demand – and he has now commented on a possible move to join Brands at Everton.

Lozano has told ESPN that he is ‘grateful’ and ‘happy’ that Brands brought him to PSV, but isn’t thinking about a move to Everton, as he is concentrating on the World Cup – but will make a decision on his future if he needs to.

“Brands brought me to PSV, I’m grateful, happy, but I’m not thinking about whether I’m an option [for Everton],” said Lozano. “If there is an option to leave we’ll decide what is the best decision for me and my family, but I’m concentrating on the national team.”
