Odsonne Edouard became an instant Crystal Palace hero by scoring twice against Tottenham Hotspur, dazzling Presnel Kimpbembe in the process.
Palace swooped to sign Edouard from Celtic on transfer deadline day.
Patrick Vieira kept the faith in Christian Benteke against Tottenham though, leaving Edouard on the bench.
The Frenchman was introduced in the second half, and went on to have a huge impact.
Edouard’s dream debut
Edouard’s first touch in a Palace shirt was to control a Wilfried Zaha pass. His second was to fire the ball past Hugo Lloris.
Edouard wasn’t done there though as Tottenham couldn’t stop him grabbing another. Conor Gallagher found the Frenchman inside the box and he finished it off.
Palace were 1-0 up before Edouard’s introduction. By the time Edouard’s dream debut came to an end, Tottenham had been destroyed 3-0 at Selhurst Park.
Expecting him to keep his level up is absurd, but Edouard has shown that he can make a real impact at Palace.

Kimpembe reacts to Edouard destroying Tottenham
Paris Saint-Germain defender Kimpembe then took to Instagram to react.
Kimpembe and Edouard know each other from their time together at PSG, and the centre back loved what he saw.
Kimpbembe took to Instagram to post just four words – ‘mon petit arrete ça!!’ – which translated to ‘My little one stop it!!’
Edouard’s demolition of Tottenham left Kimpembe buzzing, and Palace fans will hope to see more of the same going forward.
