The Italian legend praised Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League trip to the Parc des Princes.

As one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world and a footballing veteran with two decades’ experience, Gianluigi Buffon has faced some impressive opponents over the years.
Therefore, when the 40-year-old describes a club’s strikeforce as the best in Europe at the moment, it should be taken as a compliment of the highest quality.
Buffon, currently plying his trade for Paris Saint-Germain, is preparing to face Liverpool in the Champions League at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
The Reds are blessed up front, with the trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino tormenting opposition defences in the Premier League and overseas time and time again.
Not that PSG’s front line is weak in comparison, mind – the Ligue 1 giants boast the two most expensive players in the world up front in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
And let’s not forget Edinson Cavani, the club’s all-time top goalscorer, with a frightening 180 goals from 259 appearances in the famous navy shirt.
But despite the Parisians’ impressive attacking players, Buffon has described Liverpool’s front line – rather than that of his team – as the best in Europe.

“Liverpool have a very strong team,” the 2006 World Cup winner told The Mirror. “But I do especially look at their front players.
“With Salah, Mane, and Firmino they have so much pace, so much creativity, and of course they are all big goal threats.
“Throughout my career I have always wanted to test myself against the best — and at the moment you really can’t think of any teams in Europe who have a better front three than Liverpool.”
A stunning admission from the Italy legend, even though PSG’s attack cost roughly four times as much as that of Liverpool – Salah, Mane and Firmino cost around £100m, which is just about half the price of Neymar.
