PSG right-back Thomas Meunier wishes Serge Aurier well at Tottenham.

Paris Saint-Germain’s strength in depth at right-back gave them confidence to let Serge Aurier leave this summer.
Belgian international Thomas Meunier competed with Aurier for a first team spot last season, and the summer arrival of Dani Alves meant one had to go.
Aurier made a transfer deadline day switch to Tottenham Hotspur and Meunier believes that he is already proving a loss in the dressing room, even though he wishes the Ivory Coast international well.

Speaking to Le10 Sport, Meunier said: “I think his presence had a certain level of ambience. He liked to talk.
“He is someone who asserts himself in the locker room, people had a good respect for him.
“A message to Aurier? I cross my fingers he can make it as good as possible in Tottenham.”

Tottenham needed new faces to give their squad a lift after pushing Chelsea close in the title race last season.
Aurier has a controversial past off the field but he is certainly a character who can provide the boost they need, and brings a winner’s mentality from his time at PSG.
The right-back made an impressive debut for Spurs against Borussia Dortmund in midweek, and hopes to establish himself as the club’s first choice in the position.
Meunier’s comments suggest Tottenham have chosen wisely, and for all the talk about his character, his former teammate’s vote of confidence should speak volumes.
