PSG have reportedly recruited the help of Achraf Hakimi in their bid to sign Sofyan Amrabat, with Liverpool currently the favourites to land the Moroccan international.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Ligue 1 champions have turned to their starting right-back to help lure his fellow international teammate to Paris, with Amrabat one of the most sought-after players ahead of the January market following an outstanding 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Amrabat was one of the midfielders of the tournament as Morocco made it all the way to the semi-finals, where the ACF Fiorentina star has since become one of the most talked about names in football and a huge target for many top clubs ahead of the winter window next month.
Lions de L’Atlas have recently reported that €45m (£40m) will be enough to convince La Viola to part with Amrabat in January, and PSG now look to be making moves to sign the midfielder ahead of Liverpool, with Hakimi holding some considerable power in the Morocco camp.

Indeed, the defender is one of the best fullbacks in world football and arguably Morocco’s best player, and Hakimi having words with Amrabat about signing for PSG could give the French giants a significant advantage in the race to land the 26-year-old.
Whilst Liverpool do seem to be the frontrunners for Amrabat, this latest ploy from PSG could be what tips the race in the Parisian club’s favour, with Hakimi a player who could convince the midfielder to move to France instead of Merseyside next month.
PSG could now have an easy path to sign Amrabat in January

Amrabat is set for the move of a lifetime next month when the January window opens for business, and for PSG, the French giants could now have an easy path to signing the midfielder with Hakimi now on board to bring his Morocco teammate to Paris.
The 26-year-old more than showed out in Qatar that he can play at a top level, and with PSG now looking at smart signings rather than superstar names, Amrabat could be the best of both worlds given how good the midfielder was in the Middle East this winter.
