PSG have been linked with a move for Spurs left-back Rose.
Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has been quoted by the Guardian on their live transfer blog (Friday, 14:25) as failing to rule out a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose.
PSG have been linked with a move for the England World Cup star, as he remains second choice at Spurs to Wales international Ben Davies at left-back.
Should 28-year-old Rose decide to leave, Spurs already possess more than adequate back-up in academy product Kyle Walker-Peters while Kieran Trippier remains first choice ahead of Serge Aurier on the right side of defence.
Former Borussia Dortmund boss Tuchel responded when asked about signing Spurs left-back Rose – with the French transfer window closing on August 31 – and he failed to rule out a move, instead applauding the player’s quality.
“I will not comment on transfer rumours,” Tuchel said. ” I will simply say that I came up against Tottenham Hotspur 3 years ago & it took me 3 days to work out how best to combat him.”
Former Leeds United academy product Rose has clocked up a huge 161 appearances for Spurs during his time in north London, after being lured to the club from Leeds in May 2007 as a 17-year-old.
He lost his place in the England side to Ashley Young for the World Cup and will be desperate to be given more than the odd game like last season, in order to win his place back under Gareth Southgate.
A move to PSG could indeed bring that about, despite the club boasting France international Layvin Kurzawa.
