Leeds United owner praises club’s achievement during hosting of the England game.

Leeds United’s stadium Elland Road proudly hosted England’s national team last week in the friendly win over Costa Rica.
It was the first international game at the stadium since 2002, and an ideal way for the Three Lions to warm up for the World Cup away from their usual surrounds of Wembley.
The Whites’ hosting of the game has drawn industry praise from advertisers, after owner Andrea Radrizzani pushed the use of new electronic advertising hoardings.

It is reported this was a ‘world first’ at any international football game.
Leeds owner Radrizzani made his millions selling television rights and working with advertisers and this is an instance of where his expertise is benefitting the club.
It is unclear at this stage if this is an experiment which will be further rolled out for Championship fixtures and associated television coverage.
It is an idea which helps Leeds raise further cash, being able to sell multiple adverts on a single LED hoarding, and this ultimately would mean more money to spend on players and the club’s facilities.
