Cameron Carter-Vickers could not really make an impact at Tottenham Hotspur, but the USA international central defender is going from strength to strength at Celtic and has just won yet another major trophy with the Hoops – the Scottish League Cup.
Carter-Vickers was on the books of Tottenham from 2009 until 2022.
During all those years at the North London club, the central defender failed to make a single appearance in the Premier League.
He was just not deemed good enough.
Now 25, Carter-Vickers had loan spells at Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town, AFC Bournemouth and Celtic while he was under contract at Spurs.

And then in the summer of 2022, Tottenham sold the American defender to Celtic for £6 million (The Daily Mail).
During his loan spell at the Hoops last season, Carter-Vickers won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup.
And he played a big part in the Hoops’ success.
The American scored four goals and gave one assist in 28 Scottish Premiership matches last season.
Carter-Vickers also played five times in the UEFA Europa League for the Hoops.

The American has played 23 times in the Scottish Premiership and four times in the UEFA Champions League for Ange Postecoglou’s side so far this campaign.
On Sunday, Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 in the Scottish League Cup final.
Carter-Vickers started the match and played well, and, as you can see from his Instagram post below, he is over the moon.
Since leaving Tottenham for Celtic, first on loan and then on a permanent basis, the American star, who played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has flourished.
