Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Emile Smith Rowe regarding Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Smith Rowe has said that he turned down interest from Tottenham when he was younger to stay at Arsenal.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder also said that he was rejected by another London club Chelsea.

Smith Rowe told The Daily Mail: “Yeah, I grew up in an area that should be more Crystal Palace than anything else, but I was an Arsenal fan. My Dad’s a Tottenham fan. My brother’s an Arsenal fan, thankfully, so I followed him!

“I trialled at Chelsea and didn’t get in. Something about me not being big enough, I’ve heard! But Arsenal found out and picked me up.

“They were flexible, too. They knew I lived far away and told me to come in when I could. Tottenham showed interest but I stood by Arsenal. They’re my club.”
