Leeds United should pay close attention to FIFA’s ruling which could affect Manchester City and Chelsea.

Loanee Jack Harrison proved his worth to Leeds United at the weekend as he scored a vital equaliser.

Harrison’s first goal for Leeds could not have come at a better time, earning a 1-1 draw against Millwall and helping keep their unbeaten record.

The England under-21 international is on loan from Manchester City. So what are Leeds’ chances of signing him permanently?

If a new FIFA proposal comes into effect, Leeds chances could look a lot brighter.

SkySports report FIFA plan to cap the number of players clubs can loan out, to just eight.

Manchester City currently have 27 players out on loan, including Harrison.

FIFA are currently undertaking a study into how feasible it will be to implement their plans.

Leeds have a better chance of signing Harrison if the ruling ends up getting passed, as City won’t just be able to stockpile their talent and will have to make more ruthless decisions.

The Whites can also benefit with on loan Chelsea players Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker.

Chelsea have as many as 40 players out on loan, and both Baker and Blackman are at stages of their development where they cannot afford to stay with the Blues if they are not playing regularly out at another club.
