Henri Lansbury has praised Tottenham Hotspur for their turnaround under Ange Postecoglou and the performances of James Maddison.
On Saturday, Tottenham moved to the top of the Premier League table when, with ten men, they beat newly-promoted Luton Town 1-0.
Former Arsenal player Henri Lansbury thinks Spurs will be ‘up there’ during the final few weeks of the season, as he heaped praise on James Maddison for ‘stepping up’ since his summer transfer from Leicester City, as he told Stadium Astro.
When the 26-year-old first joined Tottenham, a certain Harry Kane was still in the building.
The hope was that the duo would form a formidable partnership and pick a team that had taken so many hits during the previous campaign.
But Harry Kane opted to join Bayern Munich, which many thought would affect Spurs, but it has been far from it.

Tottenham are top of the Premier League
“I see Spurs being up there this year,” said Lansbury. “Harry Kane leaving was massive for them. But the goals are coming from elsewhere this year. They seem like a proper team now. Not everything going through Kane.
“Maddison has taken the bull by the horns and really stepped up. He is feeding everyone else to get their chances and score goals, so I think they will be around it.”

As of this moment, it could be argued that the England international has been the signing of the summer.
Is there anyone else in the Premier League who has made such an impact on a team? At the end of the day, you can’t get better than sitting top of the table.
Yes, there is a long way to go, but after how last season ended for Spurs, their fans are going to be enjoying every bit of what’s happening right now.
