‘Proper player’: Some Aston Villa fans react to who West Brom are rumoured to sign

Aston Villa fans have shared their thoughts on Twitter as West Brom close in on the signing of West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass.

The Express & Star report that Sam Allardyce is hoping to make ex-Villa winger Snodgrass his first signing of the January transfer window.

To add fuel to that transfer speculation, Snodgrass responded to a tweet from a West Ham fan who was thanking him for ‘all the memories’.

It does seem as though it’s just a matter of time before the left-footed winger is joining a second Midlands club of his career and most Villa fans are wishing him the best of the luck on the other side.

Snodgrass spent a season-long loan at Villa Park in 2018, with then-manager Steve Bruce losing in the play-off final to Fulham.

Villa supporters have fond memories of Snodgrass and a section of them have thanked the Scotsman once again for the effort he gave to the club, as he prepares for another move.

If he does make the expected switch then Allardyce will be drooling over his set-piece delivery and how West Brom can use that as a weapon to secure some much-needed points.
