Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha has received praise from Simon Jordan as his future at Crystal Palace hangs in the balance.
The Ivory Coast international becomes a free agent in July when his contract expires, and his next step is yet to be decided.
Arsenal – according to the Guardian – are among those interested in signing Zaha on a free transfer.
Now, Jordan has shared his views on the Crystal Palace talisman.
What’s the story?
Well, Jordan and Jim White were discussing whether or not Zaha is worth £10m-a-year.
The Guardian believe Crystal Palace have offered their No.11 a four-year deal worth £200,000-a-week.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan argued: “He’s a proper player. There is nobody at Crystal Palace who would suggest Zaha’s contribution has been nothing short of invaluable.
“What’s the replacement cost of Zaha to Palace? £25m – £30m. If you buy a player for £30m (to replace him) where’s the benefit in that? You know what Wilfried Zaha is (going to do for you).”
Jordan makes a strong argument.
There is no denying that Zaha is worth £200,000-a-week to Crystal Palace, although by the sounds of it, financial gain may not even be the deciding factor.
Arsenal have strong chance of signing Zaha
Interestingly, the Guardian add that Zaha wants assurances over Crystal Palace’s ambition before deciding whether to commit his future to the south Londoners.
The 30-year-old already handed in a transfer request at Selhurst Park back in 2019 as he wanted to play Champions League football.
Therefore – in our view at least – Arsenal have an excellent chance of signing Zaha, as there are few more ambitious clubs around right now than the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta has taken Arsenal from a struggling outfit into Premier League leaders, and there are plans to go even higher as the likes of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are targeted.
If that doesn’t scream ambition to Zaha, we don’t know what will.
