Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that both Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson played on with injuries last night, as per his comments live on BT Sport.
Liverpool beat Ajax 1-0 in Champions League action yesterday, as their depleted squad managed to ensure that they qualified from their group ahead of schedule.
Liverpool managed to match Ajax’s intensity throughout the game, despite their relentless schedule of late.
And Klopp was delighted with the efforts of his players, with Robertson and Henderson both playing through the pain barrier for his side.
“Robbo had a proper, proper knock on his ankle but he played through,” Klopp said.
“Hendo had a stiff back but he played on. The boys gave everything.”
Liverpool will be hoping that both Robertson and Henderson recover quickly from their issues, as they are likely to be needed again at the weekend.
The Reds take on Wolves at the weekend, and if either of the pair are ruled out then that would be a massive blow.

At the moment there is no reason to be too concerned about Robertson or Henderson being sidelined, but Liverpool have suffered badly with injuries this term, and there is likely to be some concern about them around Anfield.
Liverpool have one more Champions League game left to play in the group against Midtjylland, but Klopp will be free to rotate his side entirely for that contest and give his players a well earned rest.
