Lewis Cook is adding a more attacking focus to his game this season at Leeds United.
Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook is showing no signs of his remarkable progress slowing down.
Even despite the club’s poor form under previous boss Uwe Rosler, the youngster was the model of consistency in midfield, and even stood out when picked out wide in the woeful home loss to Blackburn under Steve Evans.
Cook has since moved back into his preferred central role, and the side have won two successive games, but his performances this season have also had a different element to them.
While still searching for his first goal of the campaign, Cook is displaying a more attacking element to his game compared to last season.

This season Cook is averaging more shots per game, more final third passes, and creating more goalscoring opportunities.
He is also recording a better pass completion rate, winning more of his aerial battles, and winning the ball back more frequently for his side.
While these figures are based on a sample side of 13 Championship games as opposed to 37 last season, they offer an encouraging sign that he is developing his game to become more of an impact player.
Still only 18-years-old, Cook has the potential to be a great for his club, and even his country, and when he gets among the goals on a regular basis his confidence will only soar even higher.
