Times are tough at Ewood Park, but a number of emerging talents are giving Blackburn Rovers fans something to get excited about.
Over the past few years, Blackburn Rovers fans, who are some of the most loyal and passionate in English football, have had to sit by and watch their club tumble down the table. The former Premier League champions have been through a host of managers and now, with Owen Coyle attempting to steady the ship, Rovers fans are hoping for some stability under the troubled ownership of the Venkys.

However, things aren’t all bad. Despite currently sitting in the relegation zone, Blackburn are starting to show signs of promising, attacking football; typified by an excellent victory against Derby County towards the end of September. As well as, Blackburn’s impressive youth academy, which has been a jewel of the club for many years, has continued to produce promising talent, which Owen Coyle has been quick to utilise.

One player who has been particularly impressive for Rovers this season is young Irish midfielder, Darragh Lenihan. After impressing on loan at Burton Albion, Lenihan has broken into the first team under Owen Coyle, and the Irishman seems to be cementing his place as the tough-tackling battler that Championship teams need.
Another notable youngster in the Blackburn squad is full-back, Adam Henley. Born in Tennessee, USA to a Welsh mother and American father, Henley is another product of the Rovers academy, and has already made two appearances for Wales at the age of 22. Despite struggling to cement his place in the Rovers first team, Henley is certainly a promising young prospect.
