Serdar Dursun is keen on a move away from Darmstadt amid claims that Nottingham Forest and Derby County want the prolific striker, as reported by BILD.
With his contract due to expire in the summer of 2021, The Lillies know, deep down, that their star striker will be on his way sooner rather than later. They only hope that Dursun will stick around and help his side secure a return to the Bundesliga before he is riding off into the sunset.
No one in Germany’s second tier has scored more goals (15) than Dursun in 2020.
In ten league matches, he has six goals and three assists this term as he looks to equal last season’s tally of 19.
But, according to BILD, Darmstadt have decided against offering Dursun a new contract – they know it would be something of a fruitless venture.
The 6ft 3ins former Hannover ace, who has been tipped to make his debut for the Turkish national team soon, has already decided that his future lies elsewhere.
And while Dursun would prefer to join a Bundesliga or Super Lig club, the riches on offer in English football could twist his arm – even if this has been a campaign to forget for East Midland rivals Nottingham Forest and Derby County so far.

Derby made three unsuccessful bids for Dursun over the summer – the final one standing at around £1 million (Hessenchau). Forest were also reported to be interested, via The Mirror (5 October, page 43).
With just seven goals to their name, bottom-of-the-table Derby are the joint-lowest scorers in the Championship.
Forest, with nine, are not far ahead – and Chris Hughton’s side failed to produce a single shot on target in the midweek stalemate with Watford.
