Leeds United need another striker badly and Omar Bogle would be a shrewd addition.
Leeds United’s lack of strength up front behind Chris Wood was laid bare in their FA Cup defeat to Sutton United.
Marcus Antonsson failed to grasp his chance, and it was too much to ask to expect debutant teenager Mallik Wilks to rescue the game for them off the bench.
It emphasised the need for the club to sign another striker, but there is less than two days to go before the transfer window closes.
One player who could be arriving at the club is in demand Grimsby forward Omar Bogle.

SkySports reported at the weekend that Leeds have made an initial enquiry for the 23-year-old, who Rotherham have had a bid turned down for.
Bogle has scored an impressive 19 goals for the League Two side, and could be a real shot in the arm for Leeds right now.
Bringing in a player full of confidence would be a big boost for the club’s promotion hopes, and he may have better luck hitting the ground running than a player like Jordan Rhodes, Ashley Fletcher or Robbie Keane who have not been playing regularly or at all of late.

Leeds of course will know that a prolific strike rate in League Two is not automatically transferable to the Championship, see Kemar Roofe, but Bogle is worth taking a chance on, and at this late stage their options are more sparse than they would like.
He is a young player who would fit the mould of the current Leeds squad, and help them in their push to reach the play-offs and go on and win promotion.
Not only would Bogle offer them an insurance if Wood got injured, he would give head coach Monk a further option to rotate his line up when required, to look after the New Zealand international.
Bogle would not be a guaranteed success, but buying in January rarely is. Leeds are in a position where they need to at least take a gamble, having got into such a promising position in the league, it would be a shame to see the Whites fail to grasp the initiative to kick on.
