Gambian wonderkid Adama Bojang admits he is ‘excited’ about speculation linking him with Premier League duo Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest.
Teenager Bojang idolises Cristiano Ronaldo, and he certainly shares the Manchester United legend’s insatiable appetite for goals. The so-called ‘Gambian Hurricane’ blew away the likes of Nigeria and South Sudan at the recent U20 African Cup of Nations, scoring four times before the eventual final defeat to Senegal.
Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Ajax and Marseille all scouted Bojang during the tournament, say the Daily Mail.

And, with interest rising, it would be a surprise if the 18-year-old was still plying his trade back home for Gambian outfit Steve Biko FC when September rolls around. Especially with Bojang not exactly shying away from the speculation.
Will Tottenham or Nottingham Forest land Adama Bojang?
“I’ve heard about the news (the rumours). And I am excited about it,” Bojang tells BBC Sport Africa.
“It boosts my morale. I’m focusing more on (gaining) consistency which motivates me a lot, because seeing such clubs following you is a great feeling. Through consistency, it will make them hungrier (to sign) me.”
Bojang, who stands at 6ft 3ins, models his game on arguably the greatest goalscorer of the modern era.
“I want to be like Cristiano Ronaldo,” he adds. “Because he’s my favourite when it comes to the big name players.
“I’ve been watching his videos on YouTube after games. He posts his workout there so sometimes I try to watch those and motivate myself through that.”
Bakary Jammeh, the Gambian Football Federation’s vice-president, indicated last month that there is truth to the rumours linking Bojang with Spurs. Egyptian giants Al Ahly is another potential destination, he says.
“In addition to Tottenham, I have also heard about Al Ahly’s interest in Adama Bojang. But there is nothing official yet,” Jammeh explains.
“If they want to sign him, they will have to start negotiations with Steve Biko. I really hope that Bojang moves to the highest level possible and succeeds in his next step.”
