Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Clement Lenglet will not play against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League this weekend.
Spurs will take on Chelsea this weekend in what promises to be a hugely entertaining and exciting game of football.
Conte has said that central defender Lenglet is not available for the match due to an injury.
The Tottenham head coach has detailed the problem for the France international, adding that it is not serious.
Lenglet moved to Tottenham on loan from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old former Sevilla centre-back made his Premier League debut for Tottenham against Southampton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend.
Lenglet came on as a substitute for Ben Davies in the 86th minute.

Clement Lenglet won’t play for Tottenham v Chelsea
Conte told Football.London about Lenglet: “About injuries, a little problem with Clement Lenglet. I don’t think he’s available for the game against Chelsea. He had a little problem. Skipp, I think a couple of weeks.
“[With Lenglet] a little problem of fatigue. He’s a bit tired in his abductor, in the muscle.
“Nothing serious but only precaution, but not good to take a stupid risk. He’s had a training session apart, but I think that will be good for him.”
No big miss for Spurs
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur will not miss Clement Lenglet much against Chelsea in the London derby this weekend.
After all, Spurs head coach Antonio Conte does have options at the back, and Lenglet was not going to start against Chelsea anyway.
It would make sense for the defender to sit out the London derby and recover.
