Jose Mourinho has suggested in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday that West Ham probably ‘will get’ a couple of players signed up this month.
The Tottenham boss was asked about whether West Ham are top-four contenders and he thinks they are ‘clearly showing their ambitions’ in the transfer market as they bid to upset the apple cart.
David Moyes’ side, who beat Crystal Palace on Tuesday, are currently occupying the final Champions League spot – they can be dethroned by either Spurs or Liverpool tonight, who clash in North London.
Nonetheless, Mourinho shared that the Hammers ‘have their style’ after he was asked whether they are top four contenders:
They are winning matches,” said Mourinho. “They have their style of play and they are winning matches. That’s as simple as that.
“They clearly showing their ambitions by trying to get, and probably they will get, a couple of players until the end of the month. They are there.”

It’s not just West Ham who are charging at the those producing indifferent results near the top.
The likes of Leicester City will be looking to secure back-to-back top-six finishes, whilst Everton, Aston Villa and Southampton will also fancy their chances, alongside those at the London Stadium at breaking into Europe.
Sheffield United’s shock win at Old Trafford yesterday only proved that results will continue to be different throughout the second half of the campaign.
