TalkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist has said that Declan Rice should join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, not Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with West Ham United and England international midfielder Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.
The London Evening Standard have reported that both the Gunners and the Red Devils are keen on securing the services of Rice.
West Ham want £120 million for Rice, but Arsenal are ready to pay £90 million for the England international midfielder, according to the report.
Rangers legend and talkSPORT pundit McCoist believes that Rice should pick Arsenal over United.
McCoist said on TalkSPORT (5/6 8:53am), as transcribed by TBR: “It’s a funny one. Over the weekend and over the season, if I’m Declan Rice and I’m weighing up my options, I am thinking I’d probably rather go to Arsenal than Manchester United.
“I look at Manchester United over the weekend, and I know they’ve won the League Cup, but they look as though they’re four or five players behind Manchester City.
“I still think Arsenal are well behind Manchester City, but I think they’ve got the potential to get nearer to them quicker.”

Tough for Declan Rice between Arsenal and Manchester United
In our view, it would not be easy for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice to pick between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Yes, Arsenal almost won the Premier League title this season, but United are arguably the biggest club in England and are a global brand.
Under Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils are going places, and they could challenge for the Premier League title next season.
We believe that Rice should think carefully about his next club.
Not only should the midfielder see where he would play more, but the Englishman should also look at which club is better placed to succeed in the long run and where he would enjoy his football more.
