Well, Diogo Jota is officially a Liverpool player, but Wolverhampton Wanderers fans aren’t happy at all.

It isn’t because he left Molineux to join the Premier League champions, because the chance to join Liverpool is too tempting for most players to turn down.

No, it’s because the 23-year-old failed to say goodbye to the Wolves supporters.

Jota posted a photo of himself in a Liverpool shirt on Twitter, but his last message on social media before that came on September 6.

The Portugal international spent a total of three years at Wanderers.

And some fans are criticising him for not bidding farewell to them on social media. Here’s how they responded to his post about Liverpool:

Do Wolves fans have a legitimate beef? Maybe.

Earlier in the day, there was another transfer between both clubs, as Ki-Jana Hoever left Anfield to join Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

The 18-year-old Dutchman never even made a Premier League appearance for the Reds, and yet still posted a lengthy tribute and thank you to the Merseyside club on Instagram.

After all, football is nothing without the supporters and therefore you could argue that Jota probably should’ve acknowledged those that sung his name for the past three years.
