Meanwhile, Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock does not believe that Djed Spence is ready to play in the Premier League.
According to a report on ESPN this week, Tottenham are interested in signing Spence in the summer transfer window, with Boro in the Championship looking for £10 million as transfer fee for the 19-year-old right-back.
The Hartlepool Mail quotes Warnock as saying about Spence: “I remember having a chat with Nathaniel Clyne at Palace. Wolves wanted him, who were in the Premier League at that stage.
“I said to him you’re better off having another season and getting some games and experience under your belt. Djed is like that.
“And no disrespect to him, I don’t think he’s ready to go straight into a Premier League team.”
