Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s performance for Denmark on Wednesday night.
The Spurs midfielder helped his country record a comfortable 2-0 win over Scotland in their World Cup qualifier.
This was the Dane’s first international match since their Euro 2020 semi-final defeat to England at Wembley earlier on in the summer.
And they started off the match like a house on fire after Hojbjerg’s brilliant cross into the far post was headed home by Daniel Wass.
Then a minute later, it was 2-0 for the hosts, with Joakim Maehle punishing a resistant and defensive Scotland side.
Spurs supporters were impressed by Hojbjerg’s performance, especially his attacking display.
In North London, the Spurs faithful are used to watching his hard-hitting ways in the defensive third.
For his country, Hojbjerg plays a more box-to-box role and that then allows the Jose Mourinho signing to showcase his attacking talents.
Spurs fans would like to see more of that attacking action from Hojbjerg at club level, but of course, all of it will depend on how Nuno Espirito Santo uses him.
One thing is for sure, he is showing that he can make the ball talk in the final third.
