Speaking on the Indirect Podcast, Brendan Aaronson has been discussing how he’s settled in at Leeds United and his friendship with Rasmus Kristensen.
The midfielder made the switch from RB Salzburg to Leeds United this summer and for a lot of players it’s tough to make any sort of adjustment when you move country.
However, Aaronson says that he’s found it rather easy to come to Leeds as he already knew Rasmus Kristensen from his time at Salzburg, stating that the pair are pretty much best friends.
Aaronson loves Kristensen
The American spoke about his friendship with the right-back.
“I know Jesse from Salzburg and I also have a teammate from Salzburg that came here too called Rasmus Kristensen and he’s a really good friend of mine. We were pretty much best friends at Salzburg, so I had some guys I could lean on at first when we were trying to get into the team and make some new friends,” Aaronson said.
Easy to adjust
Aaronson made a huge change in his life when swapping Austria for West Yorkshire, but in all honesty it should’ve been quite easy for him to adjust.
Indeed, not only has he had Kristensen alongside him as one of his best friends, he already knows the language, he already knows his manager and he’s also friends with Tyler Adams from their time together playing internationally.
Of course, it’s never as easy as it sounds, but compared to some players such as Luis Sinisterra who has come over without any compatriots to really bond with, Aaronson has had it quite easy.
Unfortunately for the midfielder, the team are struggling at the moment and he’s not had the easiest of starts to life in England, but in terms of individual performances, Aaronson has been one of the Whites’ better players.
