HITC Sport understands Boyle has already agreed terms with the Championship side, with the announcement being held off pending Dundalk’s Europa League match last night.

Boyle’s contract is set to expire imminently, and he will switch to Preston as a free agent.
HITC Sport understands Boyle has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal at Deepdale, taking him up until June 2019.
Boyle, 25, has been part of the Dundalk side which won the League of Ireland title last month, and they have been making waves in the Europa League after qualifying for the group stages.
Performances Boyle has put in against the likes of Zenit St Petersburg and AZ Alkmaar helped him recently win an international call-up to Martin O’Neill’s Ireland squad.
Preston have beaten competition from Ipswich Town, Brentford, and Barnsley who were all interested in Boyle’s signature.
