Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to bring Greg Docherty to Ibrox, and so do Preston North End.

Murty also stated that Rangers have made an approach for the Hamilton Academical midfielder.
It has now been reported by The Daily Record that Hamilton have turned down the Gers’ initial offer for the 21-year-old midfielder.

It has been reported that Rangers’ bid of £300,000 is well short of Hamilton’s valuation of the Scotland Under-21 international, as they are claimed to want as much £600,000.
To make matters worse for Rangers, Preston North End in the Championship in England are claimed to be interested in Docherty.

The Daily Record has reported that Preston have joined the race to sign the talented and promising young midfielder in the January transfer window.
Preston recently signed Louis Moult from Motherwell in the January transfer window, with the 25-year-old striker himself suggesting to The Scottish Sun that Rangers were interested in him.
According to The Daily Record, Rangers manager Murty has made Docherty a priority signing in the January transfer window.
