Preston North End defender Alex Baptiste has been commenting on the talent available to the Midlands club going forward.
Aston Villa take on Preston in the Championship this weekend, hoping to pick up an elusive three points.
The club are failing to turn good performances into wins at the moment, despite their impressive attacking arsenal available to manager Roberto Di Matteo.

Preston defender Baptiste is certainly wary of this fact, as he told the Lancashire Evening Post this week. He stated:
“We are doing pretty well at home so there is no reason why we can’t keep that going.
“Aston Villa have got an unbelievable squad, the firepower they have up top is worth about £40m.
“It is up to us to keep them quiet and impose ourselves on Villa at the other end.”
Villa have certainly got an expensive pool of talent up top. Ross McCormack and Jonathan Kodjia arrived this summer from Fulham and Bristol City respectively – both at great cost to the recently relegated Villans.

They also have Jordan Ayew in attack, the Ghanaian forward certainly worth a few bob, along with Albert Adomah, Rudy Gestede and Libor Kozak.
But their attacking prowess has not helped them finish off games this season, with Roberto Di Matteo’s men throwing away a lot of their games in the closing minutes.
This weekend they will hope that Baptiste’s fears are justified.
