Former Leeds United striker reacts to their midweek game at Preston.

Leeds United slipped to defeat away at Preston North End this evening.
Leeds led 1-0 at half-time but a woeful second 45 minutes saw them succumb to a 3-1 defeat.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan gave his uncompromising view on the game after the final whistle.
He said: “I feel like I’m saying the same thing over and over and over again. You can look at positives all you want but the result is what it is, a 3-1 loss.
“We can’t do jobs properly. It’s weak. A game is for 90 minutes not 45.
“It’s like Groundhog Day, sick and tired of it.”
Leeds had taken an early lead through the returning Kemar Roofe, who scored his 13th goal of the season.
Vurnon Anita conceded a penalty early in the second half and Leeds then collapsed, being breached a further two times.

Defender Pontus Jansson left the pitch with Leeds 2-1 down with an injury and trudged down the tunnel, leaving Leeds with a very makeshift defence.
Youngster Paudie O’Connor started the game, and youngster Hugo Diaz replaced Jansson.
Leeds have won just two games in 2018, and manager Paul Heckingbottom is under growing pressure despite the defensive injury crisis.
