Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi admits that Ridvan Yilmaz will leave this summer with the Tottenham Hotspur target available for just £5.5 million, speaking to A Spor.
You certainly can’t accuse Spurs of resting on their laurels.
After finishing fourth in the Premier League table last season, snatching Champions League football from under Arsenal’s nose, Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are determined to close the gap on the top three.
And, after bringing in the imperious Yves Bissouma from Brighton, arguably the best player in Serie A in Ivan Perisic and a reliable, experienced back-up goalkeeper in Fraser Forster, Chelsea supporters could be forgiven for glancing nervously over their shoulder. Djed Spence is reportedly on his way too.
And Tottenham are far from done either. Not by a long shot.
Will Tottenham bring in Ridvan Yilmaz from Besiktas?
A new left-back is also high on Conte’s wishlist with Ryan Sessegnon unconvincing and Sergio Reguilon potentially on his way back to Spain. According to reports in Turkey, 21-year-old Yilmaz has already told Besiktas that he would relish the opportunity to join one of the biggest and most upwardly-mobile clubs in the English Premier League before the summer is out.
What’s more, Yilmaz certainly won’t break the bank.

“Ridvan Yilmaz is leaving,” says Cebi. “He also costs a pretty good price. With this transfer, approximately 6.5 million euros (£5.5 million) will enter our safe. We will get a 20 per cent share from the next sale of Ridvan.
The swashbuckling Turkey international, who scored three times and set up four more for Besiktas in 2021/22, has also been linked with the likes of Lyon and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Europa League winners are reportedly in pole position.
Cebi, however, insists that Besiktas are yet to agree a deal with Frankfurt, leaving the door ajar for Tottenham to submit a rival offer, via Sport7.
According to FootMercato, Spurs have also held talks with AZ Alkmaar’s Owen Wijndal.
