Hatayspor would consider selling star striker Aaron Boupendza for £10 million amid reported interest from Celtic, Rangers, West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur, president Luftu Savas told Hurriyet.

This really does highlight the financial divide between the biggest clubs on both sides of the Anglo-Scottish border.

While Celtic and Rangers would have to part with a club-record fee to bring Boupendza to Glasgow, the likes of Arsenal and Spurs could afford to stump up £10 million without many concerns.

And, after scoring a stunning 18 goals in 23 games this season, Boupendza feels like a bargain; especially in an era where the bidding for prolific number nines tends to start at around £30 million.

90Min reports that the former Bordeaux striker has admirers at Wolves, West Ham, Newcastle and Brighton, not to mention Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers.

Tottenham see Boupendza as a potential successfor for Benfica loanee Carlos Vinicius, while Southampton could turn to the Super Lig star if Danny Ings departs.

“If there is an environment that will satisfy both sides, there can be agreement,” Hatayspor president Savas explained when asked about reported interest from Fenerbahce in Boupendza.

“We will be happy if Fenerbahce pays us 12 million euros (£10 million).”

90Min claim that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has recommend Boupendza to Arsenal, although it remains to be seen if the London giants share their captain’s admiration for his fellow Gabon international.
